Fresh milk and cream are sourced from dairies in VIC. Dairy animals were first domesticated in south-west Asia in 7000 BC, spreading to Europe, Britian and Scandinavia by 4000 BC. Today there are more than 6 billion consumers of milk and milk products worldwide.
Milk is considered to be one of world’s most complete foods and the richest dietary source of calcium. Milk also contains carbohydrate (lactose), protein, magnesium, phosphorous, potassium, vitamins B2, B12 and A, and zinc.
